SUMMARY:Community Art Show Submission Period - Call for Artists
DESCRIPTION:Artists of all ages and experience levels are invited to submit their original work to our third annual Community Art Show! If you have a passion for nature\, the outdoors\, and art\, we encourage you to participate.Submissions are divided into three age categories: Youth (12 and under)\, Teen (13-17)\, and Adult (18+). This juried exhibition focuses exclusively on paintings and drawings that highlight Florida's natural landscapes. All artwork must be Florida-centric and showcase nature.A panel of jurors will review submissions and select pieces for exhibition. This year's jurors include artist Alicia Brown\, Jamaican contemporary realist painter\, renowned for her captivating work that seamlessly blends skillful technique with profound story telling\; Jen Kroeger\, a multi-disciplinary artist\, using paint\, mixed media\, and textiles\, she creates vibrant\, uplifting abstracts that reflect her love of bold color and natural surroundings\; and Christa Molinaro\, the Director of Exhibitions at the Sarasota Art Museum of Ringling College of Art and Design\, bringing over twenty years of experience in the museum field.Each artist may submit up to two pieces for jury consideration. Submissions will be accepted from April 1 30 and must be received no later than midnight on April 30. Following the submission deadline\, jurors will evaluate all entries and select the works to be displayed at Bay Preserve from June through August 2026.Jurors will assess submissions based on composition\, color\, contrast\, and overall quality\, as well as subject interest\, point of view\, and storytelling. Artists whose work has been selected will be notified via email. Artwork must then be dropped off to our Bay Preserve headquarters by May 27\, 2026.
