About

The American Heart Association (AHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. Founded in 1924, the AHA works to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives by funding innovative research, advocating for stronger public health policies, and providing lifesaving education to communities.

Across Florida, the AHA partners with hospitals, corporations, schools, and community leaders to improve health outcomes through initiatives focused on prevention, early detection, and equitable access to care. These efforts include CPR education, blood pressure and nutrition awareness, tobacco and vaping prevention, and large-scale community campaigns like Heart Walk and Go Red for Women.

Through collaboration and local engagement, the American Heart Association empowers individuals and organizations to take action, save lives, and build healthier communities throughout Florida
