Sarasota Classical Preparatory Academy (SCLA) is a tuition-free public charter school dedicated to developing strong minds and good hearts from kindergarten through 8th grade. Launching with grades K–6 in Fall 2026, we’ll add 7th and 8th grades in the following years—growing alongside our students.

At SCLA, families will discover a fresh, compelling choice for their child’s education. Our classical curriculum offers the timeless wisdom of the liberal arts—featuring the Great Works of literature, foundational Latin, and a focus on building strong moral character. We combine this classical foundation with innovative, modern teaching methods and purposeful technology integration, preparing students not only for academic success but for thoughtful, impactful lives in today’s complex, ever-changing world.
