In its 36th year, the Frank G. Berlin, Sr. Sarasota Business Awards recognizes member businesses with locally owned and operated businesses in ten categories. Named in honor of the late Frank G. Berlin, Sr., whose legacy in the community and untiring support of The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce epitomized the hopes and dreams of contemporary business entrepreneurs. We thank the Berlin Foundation for lending his name and financial support to our Small Business Awards program. 

In 2026, we are proud to incorporate a special America 250 theme, honoring 250 years of American enterprise, innovation, and leadership while celebrating the outstanding businesses that shape Sarasota’s future. This year’s event will reflect both our nation’s legacy and the continued excellence of our local business community.

Venue: The Ora - 578 McIntosh Rd, Sarasota, FL 34232

Time: 11:30am - 1:15pm

Categories for Recognition:  

Large business (150+ employees), Medium business (25-150 employees), Small business (1-25 employees); Community Impact, Non-profit Organization, Breakthrough Business Award, Rising Star (within first 3 years in business), Woman Owned Business Award and Workforce Innovation and Hospitality Business of the Year Award. 

The event will begin with networking starting at 10:15 am, and at 11:30 am we will begin the awards program. The event will conclude at 1:15 pm. 

Parking & Arrival Tips:

Due to high attendance, we recommend arriving early. Complimentary valet and self-parking options are available from 10:00am.

• Complimentary Valet Parking – Turn right at the venue entrance

• Self-Parking (Side Lot) – Turn left at the entrance

• Self-Parking (Rear Lot) – Overflow parking available behind the venue

Upon Arrival:

Enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine as you enter! A full cash bar will be available in the lobby from 10:00am until the event starts at 11:30am. Raise a glass as we celebrate Sarasota’s business community in a setting inspired by both local excellence and our nation’s 250-year milestone.

Don't miss our Red-Carpet Experience - strike your best pose and feel like a star! Post your red-carpet photo on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn using #SBA2026 and tag us. You will automatically be entered to win 2 x Roundtrip tickets on Southwest Airlines.

Don't miss the Photo Booth to capture fun and special memories. The Booth will be open for 15 minutes after the event, should our Finalists and Award winners wish to take pictures with their trophies.

Seating: 

Seating for this event will be open, with the exception of Silver, Gold and other Sponsorship Tables, which will have pre-arranged seating in premium locations. Sponsors will be notified of their Table assignments prior to the event.
