Baggage Claim

Description

Lifeline Productions presents the world premiere of Baggage Claim, a new original solo performance featuring Danielle Jacobs and directed by Meg Gilbert. Set against the backdrop of an airport terminal, a delayed journey becomes something much more personal as Danielle confronts the invisible baggage she has carried through life — expectations, fears, relationships, identity, mental health, and the experiences that have shaped who she is.

Using humor, honesty, and the familiar language of travel — delays, missed connections, lost-and-found, and final boarding — Baggage Claim asks what happens when we finally decide what is worth carrying forward and what we are ready to leave behind. Funny, intimate, and deeply human, the production continues Lifeline Productions’ mission of transforming lived experience into theater that builds empathy, sparks conversation, and reminds us that none of us travels alone.

Baggage Claim runs October 9–18, 2026, at The Cook Theatre in Sarasota.
