Job Summary


The Advanced Technology Center at SCF is seeking PT Non-Credit Instructors. The SCF Advanced Technology Center has a relentless commitment to bridging the gap between academic excellence and workforce development, the center has evolved into a dynamic force in the realm of emerging technology fields.


The Advanced Technology Center has four key pillars:

Coding Academy

Youth+Innovation

AR/VR Lab

Innovation Zone


The Advanced Technology Center epitomizes a catalyst for collaboration, technical education, and skills development. It's at the forefront of emerging fields and industries, including AI, robotics, data analytics, cybersecurity, IoT, and comprehensive IT upskilling.


Salary varies based on 2023-24 Non-Credit Salary Schedule

Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:


• Part-time (non-credit) adjunct instructors teach lifelong learning and workforce development courses. Topics could include, but not limited to, the following areas:(1) IT and Coding(2) Camp Instructors After-school enrichment program (STEM)(3) Graphic Arts(4) Fabrication Specialist(5)Software Developers(6) IT Specialists (Trainers)(7) Game Designer

Education/Experience:

Degrees and experience varies based on instruction.


Prefer applicants with:

1 - state or industry licensure or certification2 - previous facilitation, teaching, or consulting experience3 - the ability to work effectively in a diverse faculty, staff and student body environment


Responsibility for Communication:

Must be able to effectively communicate with students, staff and the public.


Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


The noise level in the work environment varies from very quiet to moderate as is typical of an office or classroom environment.


The environment is usually indoors in a centrally heated/air-conditioned climate.


Lighting conditions meet recommended standards and are provided by direct and/or indirect electric light fixtures of various kinds.


This position may require the wearing of personal protective devices for health and safety precautions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to touch, handle, feel or reach objects, tools and controls; and verbally communicate with students and co-workers. The employee may be frequently required to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.


Independently transport oneself to various campus locations on a 100-acre campus.


Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, identification and discernment of colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
