Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Associate plays a very important role at The Sarasota Style. In this position, it will be essential to

greet and engage with all Sarasota Style guests, as you are a very important impression of the business. Below are the

fundamental areas that each Retail Sales Associate must perform on a daily basis to ensure positive retail operations.

 Inform customers about sales, promotions, and upcoming events

 Build guest relationships through excellent customer service and honest recommendations

 Effectively process transactions through Gift Shop POS system

 Stock and merchandise sales floor as directed

 Process incoming merchandise as directed

 Assist in maintaining organization and cleanliness in the back stock room and on the sales floor

 Other related duties as directed by management

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

 Must have solid communication and interpersonal skills

 Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate with guests, peers, and management

 Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to guests and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

 Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision

 Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

 Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service

 Previous retail experience or similar experience on the sales floor a plus

 High school diploma or equivalent

 Constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours and

occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders

 Must be willing to work peak hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

 Must be capable of lifting 40 lbs
