Boar’s Head Brand®, a Sarasota-based national leader in premium delicatessen products, announced that its employee-driven “Circle of Friends” giving campaign had raised over $100,000 for All Faiths Food Bank, fully funding two refrigerated cargo vans that will expand the organization’s capacity to deliver fresh food across Sarasota and DeSoto counties.

Each year, Circle of Friends selects a local cause to support in the areas of hunger relief, healthcare, or education. The company matches all employee donations. This year, employees chose to stand behind All Faiths Food Bank’s mission to end hunger in the community. In addition to the fundraising efforts, employees volunteered 75 hours of time packing food for their neighbors in need and brought in over 2,000 canned goods as part of their “Cantastic Building Competition.” Now the two new vans – which were presented to All Faiths Food Bank representatives during an unveiling and celebration on July 15 – are fully equipped and ready to hit the road.

The refrigerated vans will strengthen All Faiths Food Bank's ability to safely transport fresh food wherever it's needed most. From food rescue to neighborhood food distributions and specialized programs, the vehicles will help ensure more nutritious food reaches families throughout Sarasota and DeSoto counties.

They poured their time, talents and money into feeding our neighbors,” said Amanda Eyer, internal communications & community relations director, Boar’s Head Brand. “They made artwork and baked goods, erected canned sculptures on nights and weekends, and packed and distributed food at the All Faiths warehouse and food pantries.”

This year’s fundraiser marks the latest chapter in a long-running commitment to the region. Since its inception in 2019, Circle of Friends has raised more than $1 million for community causes, including funding two sensory rooms for children with disabilities, a 360-degree immersive therapy room for behavioral health patients and 240 cancer screenings for uninsured patients. In addition to the 2.5 million servings of high-quality protein that the company donates each year to families in need, each Boar’s Head facility has held food drives to support their respective area’s Feeding America food bank.

In 2024, Boar’s Head was presented with All Faiths Food Bank’s Corporate Volunteer Group of the Year Award in recognition of the team’s contributions. For several years, Boar’s Head employees assembled food kits for children in need through All Faiths Food Bank. In 2024 and 2025, team members packed more than 34,000 kits and volunteered at the Emma E. Booker Elementary School mobile food pantry. The company also funded all of the school’s food pantry and backpack program costs in April 2024 and April 2025.
