CPC Welcomes Attorney Ryan A. Featherstone to Board of Directors
The Child Protection Center (CPC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ryan A. Featherstone, Esq. to its Board of Directors, bringing extensive legal expertise and a strong commitment to the Sarasota community to the organization’s leadership.
Featherstone is a shareholder at Dunlap & Moran, P.A., where his practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, business transactions, and related legal matters. A Sarasota native, Featherstone graduated with honors from Pine View School before earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Florida. He later received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2005.
Throughout his career, Featherstone has been recognized for his professional excellence and leadership in the legal community. He holds the AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards. He has also been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, named among Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite, and included in Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law.
In addition to his legal practice, Featherstone has been actively involved in professional and community organizations. He has served as a director of the Sarasota-Bradenton Attorney’s Real Estate Council and the Gulf Coast Mortgage Bankers Association and is a member of several regional professional organizations including the Sarasota County Bar Association and the Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
Featherstone’s expertise and presence on CPC’s board is coming at an opportune time, with the organization diving into a milestone phase of expansion to meet the growing demand for local child abuse services. “Ryan’s deep ties to our community alongside his legal and financial proficiency make him an invaluable addition to CPC’s Board of Directors,” said Douglas Staley, CPC’s Executive Director. “His insight and leadership will help further our mission to prevent, intervene in, and treat child abuse in our community while strengthening the financial foundation and long-term security of the Child Protection Center, ensuring that future generations will continue to have access to life-saving care.”
The Child Protection Center’s (CPC) mission is the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse, as the organization envisions a community where children are safe from abuse and free to thrive. For over 45 years, CPC has been serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties in the State of Florida and is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
