Discover Sarasota Tours announces its second annual Art Crawl Trolley tours exploring Sarasota’s vibrant visual arts scene offered the second Friday nights Jan-April  from 4-8PM. The Art Crawl will be offered on January 10, February 14, March 14, and April 11, 2025.

Art Crawl Trolley tour showcases Sarasota’s galleries and studios located in six arts districts of Main/State St., North and South Palm, Burns Ct., Towles Ct., and the Limelight District. Three trolleys will be running in 15 min loops from 4-8PM. While there are no guides leading this hop-on hop-off tour, there will be guides aboard telling guests about the different arts districts and offering directions and suggestions for dining and exploring each area.

In exchange, we will be offering the Alliance a donation of $5 on each ticket sold,” she added.

Visitors start at the Trolley Cottage Gift Shop located at 1826 4^th Street in the heart of Gillespie Park offering charming Sarasota gifts and complimentary wine or beer. Guests can also visit the Artful Giraffe Gallery at this hub location. Then they will board the trolleys in 15 min boarding time slots to explore six hub locations. At each hub stop, guests can hop off to explore galleries and studios or hop back on to go to the next stop. The Bazaar at Apricot and Lime will have live music, food, and drinks for purchase while guests shop at the Bazaar.

Participating galleries include: Artful Giraffe, Chasen Galleries, North Star Fine Jewelry & Gift Boutique, Helmuth Stone Gallery,  Art Ovation Hotel, MARA Art Studio + Gallery, Palm Avenue Fine Art, fine Art Gallery & Studio, Milan Art Gallery, Sarasota Estate Auction, Sarasota Trading Company, Towles Court Artist Studios, Papillon Studio, Creaturo Studio Gallery, The Bazaar on Apricot and Lime, Hamlet’s Eatery, Creative Liberties Artist Studios & Gallery, and Palmer Modern Studio and Gallery.

We had many trolley guests last season that said they had never visited us before and didn't know anything about the Creative Liberties or the Limelight District. After visiting us via the Art Crawl Trolley, many came back to see us again - to chat with the artists, buy artwork and even take classes!” said Barbara Gerdeman, co-owner Creative Liberties

“There is so much art to see in Sarasota and I am excited to be a part of this Art Crawl Trolley Tour to share the galleries, studios, and public art that comprise Sarasota arts legacy,” said DST Art Guide Jerome Chesley.

Tickets are $24.99 and include a $5 donation to the Alliance. Tickets can be purchased on the Discover Sarasota Tours website and each ticket includes transport to each of the tour’s six hub stop locations, FREE parking at The Trolley Cottage Gift Shop, and complimentary beer, wine, or water before boarding. Final tour departs at 6:45PM. Many participating galleries will also offer complimentary refreshments and lite bites on Art Crawl Trolley nights.
