Music Compound hosts Spring Break Music Camps

Music Compound hosts Spring Break Music Camps

For families seeking a unique, fun and valuable experience during spring break, local music school Music Compound has the perfect opportunity: its Spring Break Music Camps. From March 17-21, Music Compound’s Spring Break Music Camps offer something for every young musician.

Elementary and middle schoolers can explore instruments in “Intro to Music,” jam in a band during “Collaboration Camp,” rock out with others in its “Modern Youth Band Camp,” or dive into photography and videography at “Lights, Camera, Create!” Each camp is designed for fun, creativity, and hands-on learning, helping kids build confidence, teamwork, and a love for music.

The elementary school camp runs from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. for a full day; half-day options are also available. The morning session, Intro to Music, enables students to discover a new instrument – including piano, drums, guitar and voice – each day. The afternoon session, Collaboration Camp, helps children to experience the excitement of playing in a group through Piano Jam, Kidz Rock, and Junior Rock sessions. Students of all skill levels are welcome.

The middle and high school camps are offered from 1-4 p.m. daily. The Modern Youth Band Camp will help students to take their musical skills to the next level. Young musicians will learn 3-5 songs in a supportive environment, helping them to develop teamwork, stage presence, and confidence while making new friends who share their passion for music. The Lights, Camera, Create! camp is a hands-on experience that will teach students how to master camera techniques, lighting, and professional editing programs. From capturing stunning candids to shooting professional headshots, campers will gain real-world skills behind the lens.

“Not all families have the opportunity to take a vacation or secure expensive accommodations while students are out of school for spring break,” said Music Compound founder/owner Jenny Townsend. “Not only do current members have the opportunity to keep their skills sharp and have fun with us during our Spring Break Music Camps, it also offers an affordable, unique and fun option for students who may never have participated in a Music Compound program before.”

The weekly cost for the camps is $175 per selected session, $350/full-day option. Space is limited and families are encouraged to register soon for this unique arts opportunity.
