Palmetto, March 7, 2025– This past February, the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa was honored to host the Special Olympics Area 7 Regional Cornhole Tournament, bringing together athletes, families, and supporters for an inspiring day of competition and community spirit.

Athletes from across the region competed in a spirited display of skill and determination, embodying the true essence of the Special Olympics. Spectators and volunteers came together to cheer on participants, creating an atmosphere of excitement and support.

“We were thrilled to be part of such a meaningful event and to witness the incredible sportsmanship and resilience of these athletes,” said Cory Dunbar, Events Manager. “Hosting this tournament was a privilege, and we look forward to continuing our support for the Special Olympics.”
